Functionality is shown between brackets, [F] and [P], when the accession number refers to genomic DNA, but not known as being germline or rearranged.

  5. (5) Owing to a non-functional L-PART1 at the expected position (very short and recombined to a repeated sequence), the IGKV2S16 was first defined as pseudogene. However the IGKV2S16 gene has been found in rearranged transcripts (e.g., DN269560, DN271670), in which a functional L-PART1, located 424 bp upstream of the defectuous one, is correctly spliced to L-PART2. For that reason, the functionality of the IGHV2S16 has been changed from pseudogene (P) to functional (F) (J. Martin, G. Folch, M.-P. Lefranc, 25/09/16).
