The genomic organisation of the sheep TRA/TRD locus on chromosome 7 is deduced from the genome assembly Oar_v3.1.

The unplaced genomic scaffolds NW_004080312, NW_004084646 and NW_004084647 are inserted in the map in a potential localization.
The diagram shows the position of all related and no-related TRA/TRD genes according to nomenclature.
Arrows indicate transcriptional orientation of the V genes.
The arrow above the line of the TRAJ genes indicates the 80 kb region that has been magnified in the lower part of the figure.

New genes have been identified by IMGT (not shown in the representation below):

Locus representation sheep TRA/TRD

Colors are according to IMGT color menu for genes.
The boxes representing the genes are not to scale. Exons are not shown.
A double slash // indicates a gap in genome assembly. Distances in bp (base pair) or in kb (kilobase) associated with a double slash are taken into account in the length of the lines and included in the numbers displayed at the right end of the lines.
A dotted line ... indicates the distance in kb (kilobase) between the locus and its bornes (5' borne and the most 5' gene in the locus and/or 3' borne and the most 3' gene in the locus) on the top and bottom lines, respectively. These distances are not represented at scale and are not included in the numbers displayed at the right ends of these two lines.

IMGT note:
TRAV13S2 should be read (instead of TRAV43S2) for the 6th gene from the right of line 200kb in the map.
