How many functional TRB genes?
What is the expressed TRB repertoire?

ANSWER to question 3:

The number of functional genes in the human TRB locus is 56-65 per haploid genome. This potentiel germline (= non rearranged) repertoire comprises 40-48 TRBV, 2 TRBD, 12-13 TRBJ and 2 TRBC genes. The expressed T cell receptor beta chain repertoire comprises 106 V-D-J-REGIONs associated to one of the two C-REGIONs.
