How many functional TRD genes?
What is the expressed TRD repertoire?

ANSWER to question 3:

The number of functional genes in the human TRD locus is 15-16, per haploid genome (including the 5 TRAV/DV). This potentiel germline (= non rearranged) repertoire comprises 3 functional TRDV, 4-5 TRAV/DV, 3 TRDD, 4 TRDJ and the TRDC gene. The expressed T cell receptor gamma chain repertoire comprises 108V-D-J-REGIONs associated to the C-REGION.
