How many functional TRG genes?
What is the expressed TRG repertoire?

ANSWER to question 3:

The number of functional genes in the human TRG locus is 11-13, per haploid genome. This potentiel germline (= non rearranged) repertoire comprises 4-6 functional TRGV depending on the halpotypes, 5 TRGJ and 2 TRGC genes. The expressed T cell receptor gamma chain repertoire comprises 104V-J-REGIONs associated to one of the two C-REGIONs.
