The B cell receptor (BcR) comprises 2 types of components: an antigen recognition unit constituted by a membrane immunoglobulin (or mIG), here an IgM, and the signal transmission unit comprising two heterodimers formed by the coreceptors CD79A (Ig-alpha, mb-1, MB-1) and CD79B (Ig-beta, B29).
