Molecule type
A molecule type is an in vivo or in vitro assemblage of nucleotides or amino acids linked together by chemical bonds.
In IMGT, three exclusive instances of molecule types are considered: genomic DNA, cDNA and protein.
The 'molecule type' concept is part of the 'IDENTIFICATION' concept of IMGT-ONTOLOGY[1]
