Interaction
The 'interaction' concept is part of IMGT-ONTOLOGY.
The 'interaction' concept comprises the concepts of interaction that are necessary to define interactions between components at the molecule, cell, organ, organism and/or populaton level.
At the molecular level, major concepts of interaction were generated, based on the standardized concepts of classification, description and numerotation, for example:
- the 'pMHC contact site' concept
- the 'IMGT Residue@Position' concept.
The 'pMHC contact site' concept allows to define peptide/MHC interactions, whereas the 'IMGT Residue@Position' concept allows to define antigen/receptor and domain interactions.
