  1. (1) Equus caballus IGHV genes are designated by a number of the subgroup followed by an hyphen and a number providing the localization from 5' to 3' in the locus.
  2. (2) The V-REGION of the IGHV1S6 gene has 100% identity with the V-REGION of IGHV1-70*01, found in the IGH locus reference sequence, IMGT000040, extracted from EquCab3.0 assembly and in the contig NW_001869767, scaffold_310 of the EquCab2.0 assembly. The V-REGION of the IGHV1S3 gene has 100% identity with the IGHV1-70*02 allele which is found in contig NW_001876796, scaffold _92 of the EquCab2.0 assembly and which has 99% identity with the IGHV1-70*03 located in the contig NW_019646341, an unplaced genomic scaffold 93753 on EquCab3.0 assembly.
