Major histocompatibility (MH)

Major histocompatibility (MH) are proteins capable of presenting antigenic peptides, non-covalently bound in a groove to the T lymphocytes. The groove is formed by two G-DOMAINs which belong to the same chain (alpha chain of the MH1), or to two different chains (alpha and beta chains of the MH2). In the MH1, the alpha chain is associated to the beta2-microglobulin (B2M).
