Protein displays
IMGT Protein displays [1-4] are alignments of translated sequences of immunoglobulin (IG), T cell receptor (TR) and major histocompatibility (MH).
Protein displays are also available for domains from chains other than IG, TR or MH.
IG and TR
Protein displays are available, in IMGT repertoire (IG and TR), for:
- V-REGION, D-REGION, J-REGION which correspond to the "core" coding region of the germline V-GENE, D-GENE and J-GENE, respectively [1-4].
- C-DOMAIN
- V-DOMAIN which corresponds to the V-J-REGION or V-D-J-REGION of the IG or TR chains [5].
Except if indicated, only the protein sequence of the first allele of each functional or ORF gene is shown. Other alleles are available in Alignments of alleles and Tables of alleles (IMGT Repertoire).
Protein display numbering:
- The V-REGION (from germline sequences) is displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for V-REGION (IMGT Scientific chart) [6,7] and with the FR-IMGT and CDR-IMGT delimitations.
- The D-REGION and J-REGION (from germline sequences) are displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for coding regions (Overview)
- The V-DOMAIN is displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for V-DOMAIN and V-LIKE-DOMAIN (IMGT Scientific chart) [7].
- The C-DOMAIN is displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for C-DOMAIN and C-LIKE-DOMAIN (IMGT Scientific chart).
MH
Protein displays are available, in IMGT Repertoire (MH), for:

- The G-DOMAIN is displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for G-DOMAIN and G-LIKE-DOMAIN (IMGT Scientific chart)
- The C-LIKE-DOMAIN is displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for C-DOMAIN and C-LIKE-DOMAIN (IMGT Scientific chart).
Chains other than IG, TR and MH
Protein display numbering:
- The V-LIKE-DOMAIN is displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for V-DOMAIN and V-LIKE-DOMAIN (IMGT Scientific chart) [7].
- The C-LIKE-DOMAIN is displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for C-DOMAIN and C-LIKE-DOMAIN (IMGT Scientific chart).
- The G-LIKE-DOMAIN is displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for G-DOMAIN and G-LIKE-DOMAIN (IMGT Scientific chart).
