Domestic ferret (Mustela putorius furo) TRBV genes

The domestic ferret (Mustela putorius furo) TRB locus comprises 34 TRBV genes belonging to 28 TRBV subgroups:

• 19-20 FUNCTIONAL
• 3 ORF (Open Reading Frame)
• 11-12 PSEUDOGENE

The TRBV genes are localized in 2 V-CLUSTER:

• the 5' V-CLUSTER, classically in 5' of the TRBD, TRBJ and TRBC, includes 33 TRBV genes belonging to 27 subgroups (19/20 genes are functional, 3 genes are ORF and 10/11 genes are pseudogenes)
• the 3' V-CLUSTER, downstream of the TRBC in inverted orientation, includes 1 TRBV gene (pseudogene)
