Domestic ferret (Mustela putorius furo) TRB locus
- The domestic ferret (Mustela putorius furo) TRB locus spans 239 kilobases (kb),
from 10 kb upstream of the most 5' gene in the locus, TRBV1 (F), to 10 kb
downstream of the most 3' gene in the locus, TRBV30 (F). Nevertheless, the distance between TRBV1 and TRBV4-1 is not known.
The Locus representation
encompasses 330 kb including the 5' borne MOXD2 and the 3' borne EPHB6.
- The domestic ferret (Mustela putorius furo) TRB locus consists
of 34 TRBV genes belonging to 28 TRBV subgroups, 2 TRBD genes
belonging to 2 TRBD set, 12 TRBJ genes belonging to 2 TRBJ set, and
2 TRBC genes.
- The TRBV genes span 211
kilobases (kb), the TRBD genes span 7614 bases
(b), the TRBJ genes span 6547 bases (b) and
the TRBC genes span 13 kilobases (kb).
Clusters
- The TRBV genes are localized in 2 V-CLUSTER:
- the 5' V-CLUSTER, classically in 5' of the TRBD, TRBJ and
TRBC, includes 33 TRBV genes belonging to 27 subgroups (20 genes
are functional, 3 genes are ORF and 10 genes are pseudogenes).
- the 3' V-CLUSTER, downstream of the TRBC in inverted
orientation, includes 1 TRBV gene (pseudogene).
- The TRBD, TRBJ and TRBC genes are localized in two
D-J-C-CLUSTER between the 5' V-CLUSTER and the 3' V-CLUSTER:
- the first D-J-C-CLUSTER, in 3' of the 5' V-CLUSTER,
includes 1 TRBD gene (functional), 6 TRBJ genes (3 genes are
functional, 2 genes are ORF and 1 gene is pseudogene) and 1 TRBC
gene (functional). The most C-proximal TRBJ gene, TRBJ1-6,
being localized at 2.405 kilobases in 5' of TRBC1.
- the second D-J-C-CLUSTER, in 5' of the 3' V-CLUSTER,
includes 1 TRBD gene (functional), 6 TRBJ genes (4 genes are
functional and 2 genes are ORF) and 1 TRBC gene (functional).
The most C-proximal TRBJ gene, TRBJ2-6, being localized at 3.256
kilobases in 5' of TRBC2.
Bornes of the domestic ferret (Mustela putorius furo) TRB locus
- MOXD2 (5' borne) has been identified 5 kb upstream of
TRBV1, the most 5' gene in the locus.
- EPHB6 (3' borne) has been identified 39 kb downstream of
TRBV30, the most 3' gene in the locus.
